Privacy Policy – Telephonica Network Tools (Android)

Telephonica Inc. (“Telephonica”, “we”, “us”) provides the Telephonica Network Tools Android app (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App.
1) What the App does
The App provides network diagnostics features such as:
- Ping (reachability and latency)
- Port check (connectivity to a host/port)
- Speed test (download and upload throughput)
2) Information we collect
Telephonica does not collect, store, or sell personal information.
The App does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide personal details.
3) Information sent during tests (network traffic)
To run tests, the App must connect to servers on the internet (the host you enter and speed test endpoints). As with any internet connection, those servers may receive:
- Your public IP address
- Basic connection metadata (timestamps, request headers, routing information)
This is necessary to perform network tests and is not controlled by Telephonica.
Speed test endpoints used by the App:
- Download test: the App downloads a public test file hosted by OVH (about 10MB).
- Upload test: the App uploads about 2MB of randomly generated data to
https://httpbin.org/post.
Note: The upload payload is random test data and does not include your personal files.
4) Storage on your device
The App does not store test history. Results are shown on screen during the test session only.
5) Sharing
The App does not export or share your results from within the App.
6) Permissions
The App uses only the permissions required to perform network tests (such as internet access). It does not request access to contacts, photos/media, microphone, or location for core functionality.
7) Changes to this policy
If the App adds analytics, crash reporting, accounts, cloud sync, or any new data processing features, we will update this policy.
